Former Deck Becomes a Living Courtyard
The primary goal for this project: continue the home’s mid-century architectural theme of “bringing the outside in,” and reclaim the views through existing courtyard glass walls. A new flagstone landing carries you through lush planting berms that flank a dry creek bed and a bubbling boulder water feature. There’s now more room for football parties, with an expanded patio and seating wall area, centered around an outdoor fire pit. In addition, low water and low maintenance planting beds were integrated with existing landscape areas, and higher efficiency irrigation upgrades have been made throughout.
