Brookline Rowhouse

This 19th century house was extensively renovated to equip it for the 21st century. There were significant changes to all three floors and a comprehensive restoration of the exterior. A new garage, Queen Anne in spirit, was added. Inside there are four new baths, a new kitchen, breakfast area and mudroom, a new master suite, and a new writer’s studio. An elevator links all floors to accommodate the three-generational family that enjoys the home. Key design elements included a circulation spine that was created down the center of the house, connecting the previously isolated, caboose of a kitchen to make it the family center. Our client enjoys color and encouraged a vibrant palette. We enjoyed the challenge.
