Buckingham Residence

Having a beautiful residence provided our client with the canvas to make their dream a reality. The rear elevations shows the 3 major components of the remodel: third floor addition, kitchen expansion and outdoor living spaces. The existing sunroom, one of the few highlights on the rear of the home, became the inspiration for the kitchen expansion and the outdoor covered terrace. The third floor dormer addition, along with our clients desire towards green energy, became a logical location for a photovoltaic solar array
virtually imperceivable from the ground, but can be seen here on the upper most roof.
The Kitchen itself was a Designer’s dream. Along with making the space bright and strikingly beautiful, the client’s main request was for more functional storage and an improved work and traffic flow. The client chose a double Island layout from the concepts provided so that the islands, along with the stove and refrigerator wall, house all the necessary appliances and storage to facilitate everyday life in a aesthetically efficient space. Most importantly, there are now plenty of seating options for family and guests at three raised countertops and the adjoining fireplace sitting room, and the space flows freely throughout.
