This expansive kitchen/family/breakfast/lounge, all space open to one another, were concieved to provide for dinner seating of 20 or more (an event that occurs monthly), and make an updated space, in better scale and proportion to the rest of the large home. The designers' original commission was to update the kitchen to improve the saleability of the house. Thru the process, it was decided to make this and other improvements that would allow them to stay in the house for many years to come. All parties agree that it was the right choice, with the results being very successful to thier end.
