Cabin

A 1500 sf modern cabin with 18-foot cathedral ceilings, built entirely from the ground up over the course of 2008. The house is constructed of 6"x8" D-logs with two channels on top which meet to female ends on the bottom which has foam strips on top and 10" screws every two feet. The trusses are engineered and allow for the 18-foot cathedral ceiling with R-38 insulation.

The basement is also 1500 sf and has custom-engineered floor trusses which span 30 feet from end to end of the house and requires no support poles, allowing for an open and expansive interior. The roof is 10/12 pitch which sheds water very well and will provide a long-lasting roof. The house is sealed with three coats of sikken sealer, and has three French doors leading to a 700 sf deck overlooking the creek.
