This project was designed to provide this family with a home designed for easy hospitality and opportunities to interact with the landscape on a variety of levels. Working closely with the architect and owners, we designed an estate landscape that realized this family’s vision for rugged charm that both recalls their Southern roots and draws upon the horticultural richness of the Bay Area.
Just off the pool house, a trellised terrace opens up to a quieter view of the putting green and a bioswale filled with clusters of ornamental grasses and perennials. In the distance, an existing below-grade greenhouse, renovated as part of the project program.
