A modest house renovation project developed into a comprehensive re-visioning of this beautiful Oakland Hills home. Working with an architect and interior designer, we transformed the residence to better suit the clients' lifestyle.

At the front entry of the property, we improved functionality and appeal. We achieved a more attractive approach by re-grading the site and updating materials. We also renovated the driveway and additional parking areas.

As the clients enjoyed outdoor entertaining, we provided multiple gathering spaces in the rear yard. An upper brick terrace was designed for dining, dancing and live music. The lower terrace continues the classic formal brick material with relaxed seating next to a tiled ceramic fountain and citrus trees. A grand lawn area lined by varied planting allows year-round functional flexibility.
