California Traditional

For this client we developed a home with traditional details which honored the husband's upbringing in Virginia. We then combined those with a more open plan and indoor outdoor access which fit into its California location and the wife's home state. This led to a light and airy clapboard home with some unique spaces. The project cost listed is for furnishings only.

This is a small parlor right off the entry. It has room for a small amount of seating plus a small desk for the husband right off the pocket door entry to the room. Powder Room

Dining Room

The Butler's pantry off the kitchen echoes the grey from the kitchen island. We gave it more drama by adding a hammered metal sink and a gorgeous glass mosaic tile.

Butler's Pantry

This airy master bedroom is on a second floor with a balcony space looking out on the garden. We wanted to bring some of those garden views inside and chose a beautiful blue and mossy green botanical print used on the headboard and in the curtains. The patterned carpet gives a trellis effect.

Master Bedroom

The master bath brings in the blue from the bedroom in the cabinets. The floor has a ming green mosaic tile 'rug' as an accent. We did custom framing around the mirror to bring up the blue color on the wall and give places for the sconces.
