GOAL: To create a gourmet kitchen with large cooktop and island.

Before:
- Dark cabinetry made the space feel tight.
- Oddly shaped island did not offer much counterspace nor seating.
- Cooktop in corner with overhead microwave was tight and not efficient.
- Doorway to the dining room is narrow.

After:
- Custom-cabinetry to match existing, all repainted in a soft white, brightens up the space.
- Custom soffits ties with great room molding for a high-end look.
- Larger and relocated cooktop becomes the focal point and Client’s favorite feature.
- Oversize island becomes a much needed prep and every day seating area.
- Window got smaller but allowed for larger cooking area without compromising natural light.
- Doorway to the dining room is widened and fitted with matching columns to create a seamless design with the sunken great room.
