This is a a whole house remodel with a 3rd story addition in Rockridge area of Oakland. I initially recommended that the owners move to a larger house, but they love the area and the close walk to school.
I have been craving a spanish style project for years and finally found one. I grew up in Santa Barbara and live in a 1920's Spanish Bungalow. I love the spanish style; the tile, the colors, the ironwork, the asymmetry, the thick hand formed roof tile, the curved arches and feel of plaster walls. This project was a challenge for all involved but it came out beautifully.
