Sixteen acres of horse pasture envelop a historic homestead with a mature sugar maple alley and fieldstone walls. SSA developed and is implementing the master plan for the property with the intent to preserve the equestrian heritage of the old farm in a suburban setting. The new main residence, swimming pool with pavilion, perennial gardens, orchard and vegetable garden were carefully inserted into the context of existing fieldstone walls. A long perennial garden runs parallel to the main residence offering full seasonal views. Water fountain and sculpture meadow frame the garden at each end. A system of paths offers a variety of pastoral views as they move along wetland, woodland, and meadows and drape both sides of the property ridgeline.
