STIMSON

Longview

This 9.8 acre rolling site required that the topography be terraced in order to site the house, gardens and swimming pool. Positioning the house on an upland elevation parallel with the existing topography provided long coastal views. The entry walk is a series of generous limestone slabs leading to the main entry. At the entry the garden walls and house combine to create an intimate garden of summer blooming perennials. The wall continues past the entrance to the side yard creating a backdrop and frame for the dining terrace and hydrangea garden. The lower pool area overlooks a wildflower meadow and a native woodland.
