The owners of this city home sought to keep the entry garden open and simple to showcase their new home. Responding to the formal style of the façade, PSLA designed a front entry walk with matching gardens of clipped hedges and low shrubs on each side. For the back garden, a bluestone terrace expands the family room while fabric panels provide privacy. With the addition of a rooftop terrace and custom designed pergola, PSLA created an entertaining venue over the garage that is accessible from the backyard and second floor. To connect the front and back gardens, PSLA designed an intimate space with stepping stones through a lush shade garden.
