This Midwestern estate needed a strong design to work with the scale of the architecture. PSLA used retaining walls and a variety of materials to create a visual foundation for the house while extensive plantings soften the architectural forms. In the back yard, two separate terraces provide a variety of entertaining spaces and are connected with a meandering walk through the garden.
