Classic Revival

We had the opportunity to design a brand new 8000 sq foot home on SW Marine Drive in Vancouver. Our clients wanted a refined and sophisticated design concept with a cool and light feel so our aesthetic reflected just that. Using a monochromatic color palette of whites, greys and champagne tones, we created a formal and timeless house that matched the grand and classically inspired architecture. Meticulous attention to detail created a finished home that exudes beauty, formality and in essence, simplicity for our clients to enjoy for generations.

Luscious landscaping surrounds this new two level home, which boasts a white stucco façade with architecturally defining black trim. The architectural detail and stature of this property allow for an unrivalled sense of grandeur and elegance.

The back garden features a large balcony and decadent sitting area. A perfect place to host both casual and formal events, alfresco.

Entering the property through the formal foyer, the arched black doorway is framed by matching mirrored pedestals. Carrera tile sweeps through the expanse of the space, allowing natural light to reflect up the dramatic stairwell.

This foyer seating area is situated at the base of the stairwell. A perfect place to rest your feet, seated upon the sculpted occasional chairs. Simple moulding and textured wall tiles in the backdrop add to the character of the foyer.

From the foyer a tea room can be seen situated at the back of the home. Its Victorian style setting lures you in, as you walk under the mezzanine balcony into the main expanse of the house.

This Victorian styled tea room is nestled under an expertly crafted ceiling design. This a perfect place to partake in a cup of tea, with an idyllic view out to the garden.

A monochromatic color palette of whites and greys define this masculine office space, further dramatized by the oversized arched windows. An organic form side table and chair sit proudly upon a geometric rug.

The monochromatic color scheme of this masculine office is consistent, from the grey wall colour to the broad dark wood desk and dark leather seating. The darker feel of the room is illuminated by the oversized arched windows. This is a dramatic, yet professional space to reside in.

This contemporary office millwork is in keeping with the grey monochromatic colour scheme throughout the room. The millwork acts as a perfect perch to display accent pieces and file away those necessary documents.
