Clean, Modern City Apartment

Our clients on this project are both architects themselves, and they had a very clear vision for their home. They had spent a lot of time and energy planning their remodel before bringing the plans to us to execute, and they had come up with a much-improved floor plan with more open space and better traffic flow. They planned to open up much of the ceiling throughout the main living area and to keep their exposed brick walls. The design called for modern materials and finishes throughout, as well as several special interior trim and cabinetry details. We were excited to partner with the homeowners to make their plans into reality.

Before remodeling, the entry to the apartment was wide open but not very functional. The beautiful exposed brick wall was not showcased to its fullest potential, and an overhead soffit made the space seem smaller.

The newly remodeled bathroom features a shower tiled in large format white and dark gray tile. The shower window has an obscured glass hinged panel over it to reduce the amount of water that hits it and to increase privacy.

The new primary bedroom is filled with light and features beautiful new hardwood flooring. The exposed brick accent on the wall is now better highlighted to show it off. Trim details, such as base trim and window returns, create a more modern look.

The new kitchen was relocated to the other end of the apartment and opened up to the the living area. The sleek white custom cabinetry makes the space look clean, bright, and modern. The metallic bronze backsplash tile plays off of the exposed brick wall that runs from the living area down the hall.
