Clinton Hill Brownstone

A fantastically detailed, well-preserved, grand and gracious classic brownstone in Brooklyn NY. Built in 1863 and largely intact with pier mirrors at both ends of the parlor floor, 7 marble mantels, parquet floors, deep moldings a sweeping mahogany bannister ... it's awesome and has been a pleasure to restore and decorate.

An on-going project but here are some favorite rooms, corners and views.

The brownstone's parlor floor was in great condition, retaining many great details - both original (like the pier mirrors) and slightly later additions like the built-in bookcase and the mirror over the mantel.

I collect textiles and use suzanis to cover, embellish and bring color and pattern to rooms. The fireplace is working - part of the renovations was to open it. The chandelier was handmade in Egypt to my specifications - a copy of a more expensive and quite rare favorite.
