A couple details of collaborative design with the talented team at HxH Architects based in Washington, DC. The final product benefits from the architect and landscape architect working together to find the right spirit for the place.

This complete renovation of a cottage style house by HxH Architects needed a colorful and wild garden setting to contrast with the crisp architectural lines. The garden focuses on constant color and a variety of largely native plantings.

Collaborations

Another renovation by the talented team at HxH Architects of a traditional bungalow. The front entry is given a bold makeover with a contemporary black fence and simple, linear plantings.

Collaborations

Plantings with clean lines and bold colors frame an open lawn area for the kids to play. The existing mature Crape Myrtles were limbed up for better views.

Collaborations

The rear yard now sports a beautiful, bright ADU by HxH Architects. The bold black fence continues around the back and is softened by "color blocked" plantings that provide interest in four seasons.
