The observatory was installed in 2013, but the telescope and mount were never properly setup. Observatory Solutions came onsite in January 2016 to align the telescope system, cable the telescope and mount for computer control and setup the new observatory computer.

The observatory consists of the following equipment: Ash 12.5' diameter dome; Bisque Paramount ME-II mount; PlaneWave CDK20 (20", 0.51m) telescope.
