Colorful Transitional Renovation

This house is an example of a young couple doing it right. They bought the home several years ago and over time, it has evolved with their changing needs. In an early meeting the homeowner said "No sad colors!" And that was the mantra in creating their look: young, clean, fresh.

Step one: Solve architectural challenges.
The family lived in this house a while before starting the renovation, determining just what would work perfectly for their family. We worked together, along with an architect and builder, to completely rearrange the floor plan. It’s so important to get this right.

Step two: Design.
The homeowner has a great sense of style and the design reflects her taste. Each space has its own character; there is a wonderful flow to the house. It’s not trendy, but it is very up-to-date, with great energy. Bright colors, pretty fabrics, an eclectic art collection — all make for a happy, cohesive, imminently livable family home.
