French-Inspired Masterpiece
No consideration was too small in this gorgeous Atlanta, GA complete renovation. From the entrance hall upholstered with luxurious Fortuny fabric, to the wine cellar and its plaster walls (colored with Georgia clay), the homeowners sought to create a home filled with all they love.
The great design challenge? The existing structure had low 8’ ceilings. So everything was done to “lift,” including the addition of a circular staircase in the center of the house. A custom skylight with a trompe l’oeil surround, painted by Columbia artist Christian Thee, draws the eye up.
The beautiful home is filled with rich color, silk fabrics, French antiques, a wonderful art collection, and special pieces the homeowners have collected over a lifetime.
