Connecting Spaces

The three main rooms in this family home were disconnected and separated. A wall with a tiny pantry separated the dining room and kitchen and a peninsula separated the kitchen from the family room. The homeowners wanted one open space with an island for prep, serving and eating. By removing the pantry wall and the peninsula, relocating the pantry to a built-in cabinet with more storage and adding the island, the space is now one large great room allowing the family to live and entertain in one bright, open space.
