Contemporary Carrera Master Bathroom
The original modest 4’x8’ 1970’s bathroom and adjacent walk-in-closet has evolved into a spectacular enlarged master bathroom. The goal of the project was to design a classic and timeless modern bathroom that this retiree could gracefully age in place. A zero threshold shower, sliding glass door with chrome hardware, stylish grab bars, strategically placed controls and heated floors and towel racks were incorporated into the final design. The rectangular shaped toilet was selected to further enhance the modern bathroom theme.
1”x1” mosaic tiles were used in the shower to juxtapose the scale of the larger Carrera porcelain tiles that seamlessly blend together the floor and walls. A white quartz countertop with high gloss white paint encloses a 6’ vanity with an elongated bowl and two faucets.
