Contemporary Ranch House
We were excited to be part of this unique Menlo Park project designed by Spiegel Aihara Workshop for architect Dan Speigel’s own parents. The whole project took a holistic approach to sustainability, and the lush landscape features drought-tolerant plantings and a no-mow lawn. This contemporary ranch-like home, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, allows the Terra Ferma Landscapes built setting to be experienced both indoors and out. The dramatic lines of the architecture extend into the environs with a textured board-form concrete wall leading from the front entrance and with a precisely-arranged pool deck composed of narrow-linear pavers that project into the ferny surrounds. In addition to constructing this site, Terra Ferma Landscapes continues to maintain the property through our Fine Gardening division.
