The clients approached StudioMB to resolve a familiar dilemma: how to modify their outgrown, one-story rambler to provide much needed space for their maturing family. The design team radically transformed the existing home, removing the gable roof and creating an addition that expands vertically and to the rear. The second floor addition is strategically sloped to the street to reduce the scale as viewed from the street while opening up to the backyard.
