Couch 98 was designed for a small living space with the idea that it could double as a bed when needed. In the couch position, the seat and back are sloped for a comfortable seating position. A shelf extends off the back (handy for the occasional glass of wine). When converted to a bed, the seat adjusts to a level position, the back hinges to that same position while shelf becomes a supporting leg. Construction is from Apple-Ply plywood with solid cherry or walnut inset at some edges.
