Crafthouse
This formerly nondescript 1970s split-level was transformed inside and out to reflect the Arts and Crafts aesthetic. Rooflines were modified
and a new entrance porch replaced an uninviting entrance. Windows and siding were also replaced.
On the main level, ceilings were dropped in the entrance and hall. A tent ceiling was created to define the living and dining areas, and a
coffered art glass ceiling over the kitchen filters light from an existing skylight. Piers were used to provide privacy from the entrance but allow a visual connection between the living/dining area and the kitchen. The existing fireplace was reclad with handmade tile. Select floors, trim and doors were replaced on the other levels and a new media room was created in a formerly unfinished basement.
