A delightful and talented woman was downsizing into a Lenox, Massachusetts condo that was “just right” - as Goldilocks would say. One of the dilemmas presented was the need for various functions in the second bedroom. She needed a home office, a guest bed, and play and craft space for her visiting grandchildren.

The room is a modest 13 x 10 feet. A 9 foot long wall of closets behind louvered doors was a plus. The solution for the multiple needs was a custom built Murphy bed flanked by cupboard and shelve units. Erica Fay found the Murphy bed mechanisms on line and passed the drawings on to the gifted woodworker, Michael Costerisan who built the pieces and included a drop down table for projects.
