Now this space which is opposite the kitchen feels settled with subtle colors. All paints are Ben Moore. Walls are "yellow squash", the trim is "acorn yellow" and the green behind the shelves is "forest moss".

Above the fireplace is a painting by Chet Kalm of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The easy chair is an Eames knock-off that the owner had purchased decades earlier. The grandfather clock is a family heirloom.

This B and B guest room was calling for a warm color to give it personality. I geared the paint choices to the wallpaper boarder the owner had up up and the location of the room on the cool, shadowed side of the house.

Ben Moore "Amber Waves" 2159-40 was used on the walls. The two recesses were accented with "Peanut Butter" 2159-20. "Cameo White" was used for the trim and the side tables.

Here a desk surface was built into the alcove. A deeper gold paint brings interest to this feature.
