Custom reef aquarium project designed and installed within a contemporary home in Teaneck, NJ.

One of the main challenges of this installation was integrating the aquarium system around two existing structural columns while still maintaining clean sightlines, proper service access, and overall architectural balance within the space.

Detailed technical drawings and layouts were developed prior to fabrication to coordinate the aquarium dimensions, structural integration, plumbing paths, and long-term maintenance accessibility. Projects like this require extensive planning long before installation begins.

The system also includes a dedicated remote equipment and filtration room located separately from the display aquarium. Relocating the life support equipment away from the main display area helps improve serviceability, reduce noise, and create a cleaner overall presentation within the living space.
