Custom Wine Cellar in White Rock, BC

This beautiful custom wine cellars project in White Rock, BC (just south of Vancouver) combined a variety of materials and racking styles to produce a functional display piece.

Roasted walnut racking and cabinetry made up the majority of the bottle storage with additional metal wine racks mounted to the wall. Staggered lit niches within the rock wall added an eye-catching feature. A frameless glass wall provided maximum visibility into the cellar from the adjacent tasting room.

This custom wine cellar consisted of roasted/oiled walnut millwork to house wine bottles, wood cases, stemware and even the cooling system.

This client wanted a tasting area as well as a custom wine cellar. Putting a table and chairs inside the cellar would be too cold so the tasting area was separated from the climate-controlled cellar area with a frameless clear glass wall.

This wine cellar is cooled with an ONAM water cooled system. This sits fully contained within the climate-controlled space as it does not require ventilation.

The base of this custom wine cellar's racking was diamond bins - great for maximizing bottle capacity so long and bottles in the same bin are the same type of wine so you aren't having to remove bottles from the bottle of a pile, risking breakage.

To add design interest to the cellar the back wall was clad with rock with individual cutouts, framed with wood to match the racking and lit to highlight featured bottles.
