This transitional wine cellar incorporates two types of racking, Millesime & custom panels with pegs. The two racking systems work together in harmony, the maple panels are stained in a custom finish to match the colour of the walnut end blocks on the millesime racking. The panels were designed to be different sizes to create some visual movement within the cellar. LED lighting is concealed around the edges of the panels to create a halo lighting effect. The Millesime racking is mounted from floor to ceiling in front of the glass to optimize storage while maintaining an elegant display of the label forward bottles. This cellar is an excellent example of how two racking systems can be seamlessly incorporated into one wine cellar giving an aesthetically pleasing design with storage flexibility.
