Before we began, the yard was a tricky labyrinth of dead ends and barren spaces. Jarrod created a magical space that utilized every inch of the landscape. Each has its own unique environment and feel. Now, there are winding paths lined with patterns, designed by Jarrod, that encourage guests to explore. There are intimate meditative places for mindfulness, and there are areas just blooming with color and celebration.
Jarrod is a fan of distinctive combinations of plants that create vivid textures and patterns. Because of the odd layout and the many tiers of the property, Jarrod is very attentive to how each level of the garden would be seen from the level above. So, he converted the gravel paths below to marvelous mosaics that can be admired from above. Color plays a powerful role in Jarod’s craft. Each section of the garden is a carefully designed dance of spectacular colors and textures.
