Deck House Renovation, Lexington MA
Hammer Architects was commissioned to renovate the interior of a modern Lexington Deck house originally constructed in the 1970s. The primary goals of this project were to bring natural light into a dark living/dining room, and to improve circulation in the kitchen.
Hammer Architects transformed the living room by lifting the existing roof, and adding large transom windows over existing sliders. The result brings in an abundance of natural light, and opens the view towards abutting conservation land. The kitchen was completely redesigned to allow for better flow between adjacent spaces. New cabinetry, fixtures, and finishes were added throughout.
