Descending Water | Bridgewater
This two-sided vanishing edge pool drew its design inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright and his architectural masterpiece "Falling Water."
The client's house is a straight-lined, modernist approach to an open air glass and concrete installation, and the pool was designed to be a reflection of this. The 20' vertical spillway from the main pool drops into varying catch pools that meander along the hillside slope to the bottom of the structure.
The tile cladding applied to the tops of the pool bench, sun shelf, and steps create visual interest when viewing the pool from the deck above. Stone veneer applied to the outside walls of the accessory pools allows the pool to blend seamlessly into the landscaping below.
