Inspired by John Lautner, disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright, this contemporary perimeter overflow pool was built for an artistic design firm in the New York countryside.

The knife-edge perimeter overflow (also called a Lautner Edge) creates a "continuation of space," allowing the pool to fit seamlessly with its surrounding architecture and marble decking. A dark grey interior surface, coupled with the glass-like effect created by the knife-edge, produces looming reflections of the adjacent retaining wall and house.

The home itself acts as a screen against which hidden projectors shoot various images, producing a stunning effect that intensifies the send that the entire landscape is a work of art.
