This project became a multi step effort due to a couple of new additions to the family. When we first began talking with the family the aim was to help them develop their landscape into something that felt like it took them away. We increased the landscape bed space and added a pondless water feature to give a sense of being surrounded by a natural presence. Being surrounded by their garden and wrapped up in the sounds of the water feature made it difficult to leave the space. Soon after the initial installation the family adopted two puppies that made it necessary to modify the space. We added doggy tunnels and a panel fence to ensure the puppies could play hard, but stay safe in their new Speedway oasis. The puppy tunnels were a huge success and gave the dogs a unique play space, while the panel fence kept them safe and added a beautiful backdrop to the perennial filled beds.
