The Model Home at Dorset Park is a classic New England-style home offering an open floor plan to appeal to young professionals, families and active adults. The interior design at Dorset Park is remarkable. A blend of layers within the gray family looks stunning against super white trim. Steel blue and baby blue are pronounced and unite the colors with this palette. The hues of gray were chosen throughout to add levels of depth to each room and darker accent walls were chosen to highlight main focal points, such as the fireplace wall to add height and capture the architectural features up high. The mudroom at the back of the home has detailed molding and was created as a drop off/catch area. In order to capture the builders feature, the entire trim was painted a darker hue and a darker complimentary gray paint was chosen on the walls to surround the built-in and to highlight and create a grandeur entry.
Furnishings were arranged to promote conversation and allow families/guests to comfortably enjoy each other's presence. To keep with the calm and relaxing approach of stylish furnishings, fabrics were a mixture of soft washed linens, lambswool plaid, as well as subtle water pattern designs on toss pillows to add movement and flow. Natural wood tones and steel/glass frames on the furniture or lighting fixtures, paired together are calming in appearance, yet keep this decor highly sophisticated. Minimal accessories for merchandising were used to keep a simple, fresh look. The combination together of all these great features make this space feel lived in intimately.
