This client had had a landscape renovation done only one year previously, but wasn't happy with the results. We walked around the neighbourhood and she showed me what gardens she liked, altho' she wasn't sure why, nor what about her garden didn't "give her joy". The challenge was the extreme shadiness of the spot: north-facing and under the canopy of several mature trees.
