A complete remodel of a 80’s ranch to accommodate homeowners burgeoning art career. Landscape improvements include this new gated entry, conversion of side yard to an outdoor gallery, a roof line extension for patio cover leading to the garage conversion which now serves as the art studio. A loft above the studio has been fashioned to accommodate "little visiting artists", their grandchildren.

A refined 'industrial look' was the design theme carried from the studio to the outdoor gallery and gardens. The corrugated metal fence is designed to serve as an "art display wall" for future exhibits. Hooks along the top row serve to mount the homeowner/artist, Susan Lancaster's work.

To create the clean look and flow without interruption, utilities and storage areas were screened with the same materials and colors to mimic the gallery wall..

Plant materials were given a new edge using galvanized horse tanks and barrels as planters. Clay pottery and spheres were used to blend the industrial theme with the more traditional home style.

The homeowner's "shabby chic" decorating style has influence this eclectic garden by combining different elements of the overall remodeling project from the inside-out. An interesting and striking achievement!
