Eclectic Residence

Young, fun and bold perfectly describes these homeowners. This project was a true collaboration with the clients. We had a blast working out every little detail in this home!

With the exception of a few items, almost everything in this home was remodeled to turn it into the masterpiece it is now.

This 3,773-square-foot, eclectic, family residence sits on a lot of 13,439 square feet.

This home has belonged to many high-profile people over the years. Each owner added a little bit of flavor to the home and I was hired to transform the space into a usable, elegant, cohesive space where the owners can entertain regularly.

Refreshing landscaping is one of the most impactful changes, with immediate ROI, that a homeowner can make. The smallest updates make a world of a difference.

Upon entering this home from the front door one of the first things you see is this oversized carved wood door which conceals a wine refrigerator and dry wine rack and humidor. The backside of the door was finished in chalkboard paint and cork.

Hidden Wine Storage

The family room, with a breakfast nook off of the kitchen, is the most commonly used room in the home. The media unit in the background was custom built and allows the television to be pulled out and viewed from every angle.

Perfect for Entertaining

The most elegant room in this home is the formal dining room, perfect for intimate dinner parties, with seating for eight at a round mirrored dining table, under a three-tiered icicle chandelier.

This kitchen was updated with a hammered copper farm sink and red dragon marble. We mixed metals throughout the home and used contrasting colors on the upper and lower kitchen cabinets to make the kitchen feel bright and airy.

The custom wood veneer closet panels were made by Tableaux and designed by MC Design to mimic the Islamic pattern of the wallpaper. It's an unexpected detail that ties the space together.

This bohemian guest room was done in a vintage, throwback, 60's inspired style. Out of the window you can see the koi pond below and hear the waterfalls. It's a perfect getaway!

This amazing blue agate was custom made in Romania and has hand-applied gold leaf that looks amazing and feels even better! It is back-lit to act as the perfect night light.

The crackle glass vessel sinks were the inspiration for this bathroom design. It's amazing how the creative mind works!

The tea-for-two bathtub by Kohler was surrounded by the blue agate slab. The shampoo niche was fabricated out of the same solid slab. The obscure crackle glass window was inspired by the vessel sinks.

This is a kids room that won't be outgrown! The boy is currently eight, but can easily keep this room decor through his high school years.

This desk is a perfect spot for homework and art projects without missing his favorite sports games.

We painted the headboard wall in a textured, hard paint to act as art. This was a true creative masterpiece that took a lot of time and a very skilled, trusting painter to bring this vision to life!

A custom faux iron panel made by Tableaux and designed by MC Design hangs over a double-sided piece of mirror on this sliding barn door that divides the master bedroom from the his and hers dressing rooms and the bathroom.

The Two-Person Japanese Soaking Tub from DiamondSpas.com was made out of stainless steel and at 4' high it requires two steps behind the tub to enter/exit. The tub fills from the ceiling for added drama!

This organized 7.7' long x 5' wide closet is a dream. It is a great mix of open shelving, dresser drawers, mixed hanging space and plenty of shoe space.

This expansive accessories mirror is lined with velvet compartments to allow access to all of your jewelry.

This home office/guest room combo was designed for heavy use. It has a custom-built Murphy Bed, washable walls, a rug that can be hosed down and durable shutters.

The custom-built Murphy Bed was designed with charging stations inside the headboard, overhead reading lights, and pull out nightstand shelves. It also has ample walking room on both sides of the bed.

Don't forget to think ahead! Having room to tuck the desk chair off to the side when the bed is pulled down is of utmost importance.

Great use of Space

The laundry and storage room is 5.5' wide x 10.2' long with stackable Electrolux appliances, two poles to hang clothes and a countertop to fold them, a sink, a laundry shoot and endless storage.
