Elegant Powder Room Remodel
This project is a continuation of the Anderson Heights Renovation (located in Raleigh). The house was built in the 40s, and the powder room is one of the last spaces to be transformed. It is a tiny space: 3.5 x 4.5 feet. (I love tiny spaces! They are so much fun to work with - it's like magic when they unfold!) When the client contacted me and let me know it was time to begin this project, I knew what I envisioned to transform it: improved lighting, elegant wainscoting to relate to the rest of the house, and art to continue with the art collection we began together when I designed the other spaces in this home. I compiled an ideabook from Houzz to walk the client through the possible choices for these fundamental elements, and we began the remodel. We had a wonderful time together updating this room and selecting all the finishes. See the individual descriptions for each photo, and be sure to check out the Before and During photos too, to read about the design process for the wainscoting. For even more fun details, see the client's review.
