Elliptical Lawn Panel

This attractive lawn on the side of the house was previously a cracked and ugly asphalt driveway. The lawn panel is crowned in the middle and bordered with a mowing strip of PA flagstone and perennial plantings. A new patio and additional walkways connect the rear entrances of the home to the new lawn.

This area used to be an asphalt driveway with parking and turn-around area. Now the family enjoys sitting on the lawn, watching the birds come to drink at the water feature.

Elliptical Lawn with Water Feature

It can be challenging to design solutions for older homes with existing grades, doors, and deck steps. Thick bluestone slabs are cut to create a step where a change is grade was needed.

Managing Circulation

In addition to replacing the old asphalt driveway with the elliptical lawn panel, stepping stones lead under the arbor to the back yard spa and thick flagstone steps manage the grade change to a lower back patio.

Complex Circulation Area

An old asphalt driveway was located where the grass panel now is. Sandstone steps lead down from the new concrete paver driveway and the ellipse echoes the arched doorway. New shrubs will soon provide cozy privacy.
