Externally, this design consists of a mix of traditional materials e.g. timber windows and two tone brickwork, while incorporating simplified contemporary elements into the new rear extension e.g. silicone jointed glazing and a buff render finish.This adds a crisp modern edge that blends comfortably with the surroundings.

Internally, the objective was open plan family living. The extensive glazing enables the spaces to be flooded with natural light, while ensuring a connection to the mature gardens.

The new extension brings period living up to modern day requirements.
