Modern Seaside Build

This 300m2 holiday home has been constructed along a busy coastal footway on a site with commanding sea views. The decision was made to situated the main living and master bedroom areas on the first floor. This was decided upon to improve the privacy for the occupants, to gain improved sea views with expansive glazing and to link to the upper part of the private rear garden via a bridge. A rear patio opens out from the kitchen and living room and connects to the garden via the bridge. This area is private as well as being a partly roofed sun trap sheltered from the see breeze. There is also a covered balcony to the seaward side.A lift has been subtly been included to give easy of access to the first floor.
The ground floor contains 3 bedrooms with sea views,a lounge, utility/plant areas and an integral garage. The main entrance is set back on the leeward side and is covered to provide additional shelter.
The building is finished with MarleyEternit Fibre cement weatherboard, natural slate roof and aluminium windows.External details are clean and simple with minimum detail which would have potential to weather or degrade in this coastal environment.
