This space was designed as a fresh, sophisticated guest bedroom that respects the history of this lovely antique house. References to the old and new coexist happily. The dramatic color palette of rich gray (Farrow & Ball Mole's Breath) and fuschia is relieved by the crisp white bedding, linen window treatments and the Oly mother of pearl desk and chair. Commissioned sketches of historical houses on the green and the antique spools are framed in a contemporary, clean fashion. Even the old-fashioned silhouette of the settee is transformed with a slipcover in a textural Belgian linen.
