This farmhouse kitchen includes rustic wood beams, a huge island with gas Thermador cooktop and two ovens, a wonderful farmhouse sink with Brizo touch faucet, a large pantry, and slate niche with floating wood shelves and microwave drawer. A barn door can close off access to a bedroom hallway while removing two walls of the original kitchen opened the space up to the adjacent dining room and family room. The results are a wonderful open concept space with warmth and farmhouse style character. New furnishings were selected for the family room to work with the new kitchen's style and decor. The fireplace in the family room was also reworked with a new hearth and a mantel of the same material as the exposed beams added to the kitchen space. The nearby mudroom was also redone as part of this project with a gorgeous tile floor, built-in cubbies and extra storage closets.
