The clients requested a special tortoise shell and painted base with gilt trim.
The designer provided the custom made table. Shown are the samples
done for every project and a choice of base finish in black or Roman red.
After choosing the Roman red, the layering of color and gilt was completed.
The table top simulates a luxury surface supported on a classical base
decorated with gilt trim to suggest carved detailing. A custom piece or
one bought at a store can have a finish completed for the interior designer
and client. My studio provides custom finishes and decorative art.
