This suspension bridge-inspired shelf is a great modern addition to any room. A vertical mahogany fin mounts to the wall while the red oak shelf floats one inch out. The shelf is cantilevered out from the mahogany fin with steel cables that bear the load of books and other items while at the same time creating beautiful contours.
