These seven foot tall stone columns frame this driveway on one of the most beautiful properties in western Albemarle County. With custom metal gates that have an automatic opening system they provide security and the perfect aesthetic for this farm entrance. It was necessary to saw cut and remove the asphalt between the columns to install the conduit for the wires for the opener. We replaced the asphalt with sand set concrete pavers, which help define the entry and are easily removed if it is ever necessary to repair the wires.
